Project Status: Through our summer school project, we support Gazan children who have come to Istanbul due to the occupation in adapting to their new city and lives in Türkiye.

As Islamic Relief, we have been conducting active humanitarian relief operations in Gaza for many years.

We are now bringing this deep field experience to our Gazan families who have arrived in Istanbul due to war and displacement.

We deeply care about ensuring that the education processes of our children in Istanbul are not interrupted after the severe traumas they have experienced.

Istanbul Summer School Project for Gazan Children

We aim for the Gazan children to start their new school terms in Istanbul as prepared as possible.

We provide practice-oriented Turkish lessons that will accelerate their language development under the guidance of expert instructors.

We support our children in grasping human, religious, and social solidarity values in their new environment.

Through sharing workshops, we lay the groundwork for them to build a strong sense of belonging, far from selfish feelings.

We work to alleviate the psychological effects of the difficult displacement process they have experienced before coming to Istanbul.

We help them regain their childhood joy through cultural trips around Istanbul, theater plays, and interactive games.
