The International Islamic Relief Foundation prepared this clarification notice to outline how we process the personal data of case study participants, website visitors, job candidates, volunteers, aid recipients, donors, suppliers, and visitors. We process all personal data in compliance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) and relevant legislation. We ensure that our data processing remains lawful, proportionate, and strictly connected to our organizational activities and service objectives.
The International Islamic Relief Foundation (hereinafter referred to as "IIRF"), located at Akşemsettin Mah. Vatandaş Sok. D. Kapı N:22 Fatih / İSTANBUL, with tax number 8900358126, serves as the data controller.
We process your personal data based on the legal grounds of our Foundation’s legitimate interests, provided that we do not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms, as per Articles 5(2) and 6(3) of the KVKK. Our primary objectives include:
Identifying individuals in need, conducting social reviews, and managing aid processes within the scope of humanitarian projects.
Evaluating applications from job candidates and managing recruitment procedures.
Conducting media outreach and donor communication activities.
Managing contract and tender processes in procurement to ensure seamless internal operations.
Processing satisfaction feedback, criticisms, and complaints.
Ensuring website security and fulfilling legal obligations.
To fulfill our mission and legal duties, we may transfer your personal data to the following parties in accordance with relevant legislation:
Authorized official institutions and organizations to fulfill legal obligations.
Judicial and administrative authorities, as well as law enforcement agencies, to manage legal proceedings.
Domestic or international humanitarian organizations with shared objectives for the audit and monitoring of Foundation projects.
Suppliers in a business relationship with us to ensure aid reaches those in need without disruption.
Consulting, technology, and training companies that partner with our Foundation.
The International Islamic Relief Foundation collects personal data through automated and non-automated methods—verbally, in writing, or electronically. We gather information via email, telephone, call centers, websites, various contracts, and paper-based forms through data processors authorized by the IIRF. We process this data in line with the conditions specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK.
Within this framework, we process general personal data—including full names, Turkish ID numbers, nationality, parents' names, birthplace, date of birth, residential address, signature, bank account details, and email addresses. Additionally, we maintain camera recordings and security logs for workplace safety and record telephone conversations to monitor foundation communications. We conduct these activities based on the legal ground of IIRF’s legitimate interests, ensuring your fundamental rights and freedoms remain protected.
You may apply to IIRF at any time to exercise your following rights regarding your personal data:
Learn whether we process your data and request information if processing occurred.
Learn the purpose of the data processing and whether we use it for its intended goal.
Identify third parties, either in Türkiye or abroad, to whom we share your information.
Request correction if your information is incomplete or processed inaccurately.
Request the erasure or destruction of your data under the conditions set forth in Article 7 of the Law.
Request that we notify the third parties who received your data about corrections or erasures.
Object to results that emerge exclusively through automated systems analyzed to your detriment.
Claim compensation if you suffer damages due to unlawful data processing.
We will conclude your requests as soon as possible, and at the latest within 30 days, depending on the nature of the request.

You may fill out the form attached to this clarification statement and deliver a wet-signed copy in person or via notary to: Beylerbeyi Mahallesi, Arabacılar Sokak No:36 İç Kapı No:1, 34676 Üsküdar/İstanbul.
Your application must clearly and understandably state the requested matter and must relate to you personally. If you act on behalf of someone else, you must provide a specially notarized power of attorney.
Under the "Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller," your application must include your full name, signature, Turkish ID number, residence or workplace address, telephone/fax number, and the subject of the request. The IIRF will reject applications that lack these elements.
IIRF reserves the right to update this clarification statement at any time due to changes in the Law, secondary regulations, or Board decisions. Updates become effective immediately upon notification or publication.
