Islamic Relief Türkiye supported Eid solidarity by distributing Qurbani meat to more than 1,000 families in earthquake-affected regions.
Collecting more than 610,000 Qurbani shares through its global operations, Islamic Relief carried out slaughtering and distribution activities in 31 different countries across three continents, spanning from Asia to Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe.
As part of this comprehensive aid network, the foundation facilitated the slaughtering of hundreds of Qurbani proxies in Türkiye, ensuring that affected families in cities devastated by the earthquake were not left alone. The distribution process of the Qurbani meat to families in need across the region is still ongoing.
Making statements on the matter, Kehriban Parspancı, Head of Islamic Relief Türkiye, emphasized that Eid al-Adha is a special period when the spirit of solidarity is felt most intensely across the Islamic world. Parspancı included the following remarks:
"With the valuable support of our donors, Islamic Relief is conducting a major mobilization of kindness that reaches millions of people worldwide. Our ongoing distributions in Türkiye have already reached hundreds of families."
Stating that the ongoing distributions in Türkiye are being organized with utmost precision, Parspancı expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all donors who trusted the foundation and entrusted them with their proxies. The foundation continues to hygienically package the Qurbani meat and deliver it to container cities and temporary shelters even in the most remote corners.
