Standing by the Syrian People

Crisis Report: Today, more than 16 million people, representing 70% of the population, are in need of humanitarian aid in Syria.

Living conditions in Syria are becoming more difficult day by day.

The crisis, which has lasted for almost 14 years, has condemned the Syrian people to live in poverty and uncertainty.

More than 14 million Syrians have had to flee abroad so far.

Internally, 7.2 million people have been displaced.

Hundreds of thousands of civilians lost their lives in the conflicts.

Millions of people were left to harsh conditions after becoming homeless.

Thousands of people are trying to return to Syria again years after the war every day.

However, neither a home nor a source of income awaits them in Syria.

Those returning face a country where the health system has collapsed and schools are in ruins.

Shelter conditions in the region are poor to the point of non-existence.

Moreover, drought, flood disasters, and epidemic diseases make life even more difficult.

Earthquakes in 2023 caused thousands of casualties.

This major disaster caused the complete collapse of the infrastructure in the region.

Thus, new ones were added to the ongoing great sufferings.

What Are We Doing in Syria?

Islamic Relief has been standing by the Syrian people since 2011.

We deliver aid to millions of people despite years of conflict and natural disasters.

We carried out life-saving work inside Syria since the first days of the civil war.

We also did not leave families living as refugees in neighboring countries alone.

We alleviate hunger in the region with the food parcels we distribute.

We provide hope to patients by providing medical support to health centers.

We deliver shelter aid to families with nowhere to take refuge.

We offer support by creating safe spaces for children to continue their education.

We distribute blankets and stoves so that people can warm up during the cold winter months.

We provide winter clothing aid to protect children from the cold.

We provide psychosocial support to women and children experiencing trauma with our expert teams.

In this way, we help them hold on to life by erasing the traces of war.
